Fuel cell stack (1) has number of individual fuel cell (2) and fuel cell stack has end plates (3) on both sides with connection elements (4) whereby liquid or gas as an operating medium is supplied or discharged. The end plate are of identical form and the connection elements has sensors for monitoring of state variables. An independent claim is also included for the arrangement of at least two fuel cell stacks.
