In apparatus for removing excess liquor from a moving sheet (B) comprising a stripper (16) with a sheet contacting side (28) lying on one side of the sheet, the application side of the stripper is formed by part of a flexible tube (16), supported on a carrier (17) in selectably non-rotatable or rotatable manner.
