The screen (10) for the traffic sign incorporates a transparent plastics or glass layer (8) printed on its inner (9a) and its outer (9b) sides with an opaque design, leaving small circular transparent windows. There is a scattering lens (11) behind each transparent window, and there is a led (2) behind each lens. Each led has a concave mirror (1) behind it. The beams of light (7) spread out after passing the screen.
