The retainer has a fixing device (2) to fix the retainer on furniture or a building part. A clamping device (3) clamps an electrical device to the retainer. A connecting arm (4) is arranged between the devices (2, 3) and is plastically deformable in a portion (5) of its extension, during normal ambient air temperature. The plastically deformable portion has a circular shaped cross-section, and is formed by a flexible rod or tube. An independent claim is also included for a set for assembling a retainer.
