The box has a frame (2) for installing and mounting the box in a table, floor and a wall. A plug-socket strip is provided for connectable accommodation of a power outlet, switch, a LAN-socket, SCART-connection and/or a computer-usual connection. A cover is provided for opening and closing the box. The plug-socket strip is arranged at the box such that the plug-socket strip can be detachable by a locking mechanism. An independent claim is also included for a method for providing connection facilities by a plug socket box.
