The method involves assigning a specific, permanent unified messaging system- telephone number to a user of a network-infrastructure e.g. Internet (10), and generating an electronic message by a user of the infrastructure. The message is associated with a sender identifier selected from an address identification pool comprising the number. The message associated with the identifier is transmitted to a user of another infrastructure.
