The arrangement has a synchronizing module (SYNC) with an edge detection unit (FEK) and a subordinate evaluation unit (PEM). The unit (FEK) exhibits a scanning module with two scanning units for identifying an initiation of start signals that are transmitted for a data communication. The scanning units are formed of serial connection of logical units that are triggered by input flanks. An independent claim is also included for a method for data communication between two modules with separate clock supply unit.
