Image processing method for a digital medical examination image, the pixels each having a gray value is assigned to display the examination image, a minimum and a maximum gray value are set as limits, the pixels are subjected by means of a neural network to evaluate such pixels and at disregarding the definition of grayscale values located in a direct radiation area or in a projected collimator area.
