Connecting edges (12) of track components (10) each have stepped projections (14), forming a flush, overlapping, halved joint. Rather than being adhered together, the internal horizontal edges of each joint are connected detachably, by hook-and loop connectors (18). The track is carried resiliently on elastomeric: cubes or rectangular blocks (20), arranged in a largely regular pattern on the underside of the track sections. Close to the edge with the lower, overlapping halved projection, however, there are more of the blocks, the ratio being up to 5 : 1, for increased support.
