The method involves providing an interaction menu existing on a digital versatile disk (DVD)-video-data medium to enquire key information. The menu with the receipt of correct information initiates a transfer not to the beginning of the data set but to a point behind an interrupting structure in the middle of the entire data sets, where after filling with arbitrary data the desired partial-data set that is to be activated is noted. An independent claim is also included for a data medium with a program to execute a method for activation of data sets recorded on a data medium in a copy-protected manner.
