Composition comprises cefuroximaxetil and at least one carrageenan of the group of lambda carrageenan, tau carrageenan and kappa carrageenan. Independent claims are included for: (1) preparation of pellets from the composition comprising mixing the cefuroximaxetil, the carrageenan and optionally further content material, preferably tri calcium phosphate and/or sucrose ester, granulating the obtained product, extruding the granulated mixture, optionally spheronizing the extruded mixture and optionally covering the obtained pellets with a gastric juice resistant and/or saliva resistant coat; (2) the pellets, which are obtained by the procedure; (3) a multi-particular, presentation form comprising the composition or the pellets; (4) a presentation system comprising the presentation form in a straw with at least one barrier device to the unique dispensation; (5) a kit from the presentation form and a physiologic compatible transportation liquid with a pH value of =6; (6) a crystalline cefuroximaxetil exhibiting an x-ray diffraction spectrum of 8.3, 10.4, 13, and 25.5 (plusminus 0.2 [deg]2theta ); and (7) a composition comprising amorphous cefuroximaxetil and crystalline cefuroximaxetil, preferably the alpha modification, where the weight ratio is 90:10 to 10:90.
