A flexible stent (10) comprises a tubular member (12); and several stabilization members (14) defined circumferentially about at least a portion of tubular member, where each stabilization member extends inwardly within the tubular member to define an inner diameter that is less than an inner diameter of the tubular member. The stabilization members are capable of reducing the incidence of infolding of the tubular member. Each stabilization member comprises a ring, and each ring is spaced apart from one another between proximal and distal ends.
