The ring resonator (10) has two unit cells in the form of two-gates such as an input gate and an output gate and are row switched. Each unit cell is independently magnetic from each other and stores independent electrical energy. The input gate of the first unit cell is connected with the output gate of the last unit cell so that a ring arrangement is formed. An independent claim is included for a method of transmitting and receiving high frequency energy using a ring resonator as an antenna.
