A device for the drawing of fluid from a clearing basin has a circulation unit (12) suspended on a support (6) close to the surface in such a way that the circulation unit is movable back and forth in the horizontal direction on account of the reaction caused by the circulating flow. A membrane filter unit (3) is installed on the support, suspended in the fluid, in such a way that the membrane filter unit is held in the flow region of the circulation unit so that the circulating flow of fluid in direct contact with the filter unit is bypassed around it.
