Method for simplified real-time diagnosis using adaptive modeling

A method for on-board real-time diagnostics of a mobile technical system by means of an adaptive technique to approximate stationary characteristics resulting from a bench test. This adaptive technique uses observed non-stationary data obtained during normal driving to eliminate mixing variables.
