A mini-remote control comprises the following: a housing with dimensions corresponding to those of a flash memory card, a mini-hard drive or a plug-in memory medium; a data transceiver unit; a control unit with a multiplicity of operating buttons and; a power supply, e.g. a rechargeable battery. Independent claims are also included for the following:- (A) a mini-remote control with two or more memory memory media plug-in elements and; (B) a mini remote control with plug-in elements for one or more memory media and an expansion slit.
