The door opening system has a sensor connected to a micro controller such that the distance from objects to that of the motor vehicle door is evaluated by the sensor signals and by which collision danger by control instructions of determination elements are activated. The system prevents a further opening by manipulation of a control element by activation of the micro controller, and their control instructions control an actuator of the door allowing a maximum possible door opening angle. Each door in the vehicle can be opened from a control unit. The sensor facility is built into the door.
