The tensioner has a grasp section which can be grasped by a user. The grasp section is in torque transmission connection to a clamping section (16). The clamping section can be stretched and by twist of the clamping section relative to the racquet (120) extends into a circumferential direction on a bearing surface. By means of the string clamping section and or one in relation to the string clamping section a separate supporting section is provided which is directly supported at the racquet during stretching of the string. The string clamping section has an adjacent string outlet (25), into which the string (24) is input and of from the bearing surface the string stretches.
