The centrifugal force device has at least two weights (1) rotatably mounted about a drive axis (3). The weights are uniformly distributed about the central axis and/or to a central plane (10) of a cylindrical casing (4) and are movable in the same direction of rotation. The weights are arranged in a housing with a closure arrangement (8) so that the weights are removed from and/or inserted into the housing periodically in succession. An independent claim is also included for a method of generating a drive force.
