Parts catalogue system (10) has processor (12), machine-readable medium (14) which is linked for operation with processor and has a memory (18) in which database (20) is stored. Compilation of data, associated with hardware and respective components parts, is done for cataloging. Graphic user interface (16) is configured to display data, which is associated with component parts to identify graphic display. Graphic display of components parts is integrated with data array which represent physical significance of data. Classification of data inside data array with reference to component part representation shows through the graphic display and data array is configured for accumulation of input. Data inside the data array is required to characterize it. An independent claim is also included for the method for use of partial catalog system.
