The countersink (1) comprises a clamping shaft (3) and countersink head (2) with at least one cutting edge (4) adjoined by a free area (6) with radial rear grinding. An axial rear grinding is superimposed on the radial rear grinding through a simultaneous radial setting movement of a moulded disc and through an axial advancing movement of the countersink. Independent claim describes method for manufacturing countersink by setting the moulded disc with a rotational axis parallel to that of the countersink radially in relation to the sink rotational axis and imposing an axial advancing movement of the sink simultaneously during the entire moulding process.
