The bandage or dressing can be used on its own or in order to keep a gauze pad in the required position. It can be made of a mix of synthetic and natural fibers and wound up on a drum to be dispensed in the appropriate length. One end of each stretch is equipped with a strip or patch of Velcro(RTM) to be attached directly to the fabric after the bandage has been applied. The small hooks covering the strip or patch are of a particularly shallow shape in order to prevent them from penetrating the bandage and injuring the skin of the patient.
