A method of unified power control of dual ended inverter drive systems for hybrid vehicles

A method of providing unified power control of an engine, comprising: providing a first power converter system, a second power conversion system, and a motor coupled therebetween; the first inverter system coupled to a first power source is coupled; the second inverter system coupled to a secondary power source is coupled; a first pulse width modulated signal is generated; and a second pulse width modulated signal is generated. The first converter system and the second converter system are driven by the first pulse width modulated signal and the second pulse width modulated signal, respectively, to control a fundamental of an output voltage of the first inverter system and the second inverter system, and thus to control the motor.
