Method involves determining intrinsic parameters of imaging system or device, determining the change of intrinsic parameter of imaging system or device between reference position and arbitrary second position of the source and image receiver (2). It involves determining intrinsic parameters of imaging system or device in second position and repetition of the last two determinations. The determination of intrinsic parameter is for a given turning position of the source and of the image receiver, which is termed as reference position. Determining the change of the intrinsic parameter is on the basis of a two-dimensional image of a flat identikit image (12), which is termed as two dimensional identikit image and which is arranged in the second position between the source and the image receiver. Determining the intrinsic parameters of imaging system is on the basis of the intrinsic parameter of the imaging system or the imaging device in the reference position and the change of the intrinsic parameter of the imaging device between the reference position and the second position of the source and of the image receiver. After determining different geometric parameters the method involves repetition of the last two determinations for each of the n positions of the source and of the image receiver of the imaging system or the imaging device. The imaging system or the imaging device has a device for allocation of a radiation source (3), which is opposite, a device for image receiver, an operating equipment (8), an acquisition mechanism (9), a device (10) for visualizing an image and a control unit (11), whereby the device for allocation of a radiation source and the device for image receiver are propelled swiveling around an axis (5,5',5"). An independent claim is also include for the image system or image device.
