The turbo machine has a housing (2) containing a rotor (3) where the cooling air for the rotor is supplied from outside (21) the housing via a rotor cooling air path (20) designed so that the cooling air impinges on the guide vane support (10) upstream of the rotor. A rotor cooling chamber (23) in the housing is connected to the cooling air path and is defined at least in part by the guide vane support.
