The machine has a unit for attachment of a cover foil on a packaging tray filled with a packaging material. A mechanical perforation unit (12) is provided for perforating the cover foil before the connection with the tray, where the perforation is provided in an area that is arranged above the tray after sealing the packing. The unit has a perforation roller. A positionable perforation tool has a controllable positioning unit. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a packaging of a synclinal package.
