Process for production of Ginkgo bilobaextract with decreased extract compared with initial extract, nonpolar plant ingredients and ecological nonpolar foreign substance, comprises: preparing an aqueous ketonic or aqueous-alcoholic solution of the Ginkgo bilobainitial extract and applying on an adsorbent resin; eluting the adsorbent resin with an aqueous 3-6C ketone or an aqueous 1-3C alcohol; and optionally restricting and drying the obtained extract in such a way to dry the extract. An independent claim is included for the extract of Ginkgo bilobais obtained by the process.
