Bend press has tool retainer (1) for a press tool (15). The tool retainer has a main body (12) and a tightening bar (13) with retaining recess (14) formed between them. A locking mechanism is provided in the tightening bar for locking press tool in tool retainer. Locking mechanism has a clamping bar (20), which is movably mounted in guiding nut of tightening bar.
