Fluid unit (5) comprises a hollow shaft on the base of a cylinder (6) extending up to a cylinder head (9) to form an annular chamber between an outer casing of the hollow shaft and the inner casing of the cylinder. An inner seal projecting radially outward is arranged on the free end of the hollow shaft opposing the cylinder base. A hollow piston rod (11) is guided between the cylinder head and the inner seal and a piston (8) is guided in the annular chamber. An opening is provided in the inside the hollow shaft and reaches from a fluid connection (12) up to the piston rod. The fluid connection is also connected to the annular chamber via lines. Preferred Features: The piston rod is divided by the inner seal into a first cylinder chamber reaching up to the free end of the rod and a second cylinder chamber. The opening opens into the first cylinder chamber.
