The ski has a stick-on strip (13) of natural or synthetic fleece which sticks onto the track face (11) so that its front end (14) has a transition (15) between track face and fleece. The transition between the track face and fleece can be plate like formed by melting or compacting the ends of the strips. The front and rear ends of the strip can be covered by a stick on plate of metal or plastics.
