The device comprises of a base plate (4), a retaining arm (3), a lever arm (1), a pressure plunger (7), a receptacle for sieve carrier and a spring. The pressure, typically about 15Kg weight, is applied on the lever arm, which is conveyed to the pressure plunger, through the pivots (2), and the pressure plunger presses the coffee-/ espresso grounds. The filter base plate is arranged in such a way that it affects the base plate when certain pressure reaches a certain vale. The filter carrier is equipped with exchangeable spacers. The retaining arm is provided with teething for engaging gear wheel mounted on impression block. The gear wheel is fastened to the impression block in such a way that, it presses downward.
