Water saving unit has electrical solenoid valve (4) for interrupting water flow into e.g. cold or warm stream. It has a flow valve seat with two threads built into intake valve of fitting (1). An electrically controlled sanitary upper section (7) is installed for interrupting water flow by an impulse generated through junction box (6) operated by electrical foot switch pad in front of the sanitary object. The pad is connected with junction box for switching-on and -off of electrical current. After the pad, operated by the foot, closes the water flow and removal of the foot opens the solenoid valve again, then the fitting can be closed only manually. The footpad can be removed over a plug connection, then the valve remains open and the fitting of the sanitary object can be handled only manually.
