The device has a pressing portion and a counterpart portion arranged around a pipe (5) which is connected to a pipe sleeve (4). The pressing portion and counterpart portion are provided with connecting sections that are pressed together around the pipe by means of a pressing piece to form a seal at the joined section between the pipe sleeve and pipe. An independent claim is included for the kit used in making the sealing device.
