A number of carriers (4) for flat pieces of goods are held in a store (2). A handling device (3) is movable in X,Y and Z directions and may lift the carriers from the store and move them in batches to a rail (9) with a weighing station (1). Rods may move upward through holes in the carriers to enable weighing of each piece of goods. A movable lid (12) may cover the weighing station. The weighed carriers and pieces of goods are then placed in a drawer (13).
