The brush head (3) has two brushes (10,11) each having its own rotational axis (13,14). The brush head has drive means for facilitating the rotational movement of the brushes. The drive means are so arranged that the rotational movement of individual brushes takes place independent of each other. The drive means consist of electric motors (18,19) which are independently controllable. An independent claim is also included for the surface treatment machine.
