The plastic pipe section for pipe systems in drain water domestic plumbing has a section of the pipe which is impinged by drain water provided with at least one core layer (1) which is made from a sound damping material. The core layer is injected between an inner layer (2) and outer layer (3) by means of a two-component injection moulding process. The inner layer and the outer layer are made from the same material as the rest of the plastic pipe section.
