These are operated by a cable (3) which passes from a pulley mounting (34) attached to the jaws, over two fixed rollers (311, 312) mounted on brackets attached to the pole and back over the pulley (32). The upper bracket (314) is fixed and the lower bracket (313) can slide along the pole to adjust the cable system.
