The chair is assembled of a frame forming a stationary seat (8) and backrest (15) unit and two padded upper elements (9, 11, 13) located on top, in front respectively. The upper elements (9, 11, 13) are joined with hinges. A lever (2) is attached with its upper end to a plate (3) fixed to the movable seat part (11, 13) and with its lower end to a plate (1) at the stationary part (8). When the seat element (11, 13) is pulled to the front the lever (2) is moved first into an upright position and further with its upper end towards the front transferring the chair to a reclined condition.
