The monitor (1) to register the temperature of a ball bearing takes the bearing temperature at short time intervals, e.g. every two minutes. The temperature measurements are transmitted by radio to a data collector (2) for use by a micro controller with a data display to set the bearing temperature level. All the data are stored in a ring buffer. The monitor is also linked to a smoke detector (3).
