An industrial welding/cutting system with a welding/cutting apparatus in a closed space (3), has feeder device(s) which fit into an opening in the housing and comprise at least two load surfaces which can take up outer and inner positions with reference to (3), plus a system for closing the opening in the housing. A device for the industrial welding/cutting of workpieces (2) in a closed working space (3), comprising at least (a) a housing round the space (3), (b) at least one welding/cutting apparatus (5), (c) at least one transporter (6) for positioning (2) with respect to (5) and (d) at least one feeder device (7) for introducing (2) into (3), this being at least partly in an opening (8) in the housing (4) and comprising at least two load surfaces (9) which can take up outer (10) and inner (11) positions with regard to (3); there is also a system (12) for closing the opening (8).
