The test apparatus has a frame (1) with a test foot (2), a force detector (3), a spring (4), an impact head (5) and a drop weight (6). The frame has first vertical supports (7) close to a wall to be tested, and also has second supports (9). The test foot is arranged horizontally and extends over the first support to the wall. The force detector, the spring and the impact head are also arranged horizontally and connect to the test foot. The drop weight is on the side of the structure furthest from the test foot and hangs from the frame like a pendulum.
