A switching-cabinet has a safety cover for outer-positioned operator- and switching-elements and in plan-view consists of polygonal box with front-face window. The box is comprised of shaped bars (16) holding a front-face glass (14), with shaped bars having longitudinal slots for concealed reception of the edges of the glass, of the jointing elements, of the hinged joints, some of the wall elements and of the locking elements (28). An independent claim is included for a molded /shaped bar for a safety cover.
