The device has a non-segmented rotating disk (1) at whose circumference a diamond is provided. The disk with its drive shaft is pivoted on a swing arm so that the disk is pivoted at a cable to be processed and on an adjustable depth gauge (4). A swiveling axle (5) of the arm is arranged on a rotating body so that the disk has circular and eigenrotations. A gripper for the cable has a series of initial setting motion and clamping motion.
