The assembly aid (2) has a heat insulated body (4) and a plate (6) fitted on same. At least one channel (8) passes through the plate and heat insulation body so that an element (14) can be inserted in same to fix the assembly aid on the wall surface. The plate can be a minerally bonded flat pressed plate and the heat insulation body is made from a pressure-resistant material. A dowel (12) which is longer than the channel is inserted in the channel and is closed on the plate side by a stopper (20).
