The device (1) is designed like a pair of tweezers with elastic arms (2,3) connected at their rear ends. Each of the arms (2,3) is provided with a complementary shaped curved clamping element (4,5). The position of the elements (4,5) can be secured with a locking device (6,7). The lower clamping element (4) is inserted into the space between the eyeball and the lower lid and the upper element (5) moved towards the outer skin surface and kept fixed in this position in order to be additionally used as a guide for removing surplus skin.
