The canopy has a glass or plastics skin (6) fixed on a support frame (5) which is swivel mounted on a fixing device (7) which lies between the end of the canopy wing (3) on the building side and the opposite end so that the canopy wing can be folded from a lockable first end position where the canopy forms a flat roof into a lockable second end position where the canopy forms a pent roof with a predetermined inclined angle. The canopy wing can be locked in its two end positions by locking devices (15,16). The fixing device has two L-shaped angular elements (8) at the sides of the support frame of the canopy wing with the first upward arm (9) fixable on the building wall and the second arm pointing away from the wall forming a support arm for the canopy wing.
