The sliding gate (1) has one or more roller blocks (4) with runners (5) and a profiled area movable along the runners. The profile area is formed together with a lower chord area by a hollow profiled module (6) made of extruded aluminium. This hollow profile has an upright arm adjoining the top of the runner profiled area to form the lower chord area in a U-shaped profile. The hollow profile has moulded recesses to form ducts for holding drive elements and fixings. It can be closed by a cover.
