The free end (4) of the bolt (2) is adjustable transversely with respect to the bolting direction (12) and at right angles to the plane of the window or door. Adjustment is by means of an eccentric (11). The bolt (1) slot (7) runs on two guides (8, 11), of which one (11) is adjustable. The other (8) forms a pivot for adjustment. The enlarged head of the guide (8) holds the bolt by its undercut guide slot (7). The bolt includes a coupling (13) for a drive rod.
