The appliance consists of a washing trough with two height-adjustable nozzle sets in the side walls, and nozzles in the end walls. Alternatively, all nozzles may be located on carrier frames. All nozzle systems can be moved horizontally and vertically, to allow for cleaning of refuse containers of a size of 40 liters to 1100 liters. All movement is by pneumatic cylinders, or electric or hydraulic motors. All washed-out residue is collected in a waste chamber in the rear of a vehicle carrying the appliance.
