A timer (20) connected through the wires (60) to a touch pad trigger (30) mounted on fabric surface which is polyester fabric or flocked fabric of a mat made from fabric, fabric with substrate, fabric with backing, short nap carpet, closed cell foam or vinyl with substrate, is triggered by releasing the touch pad triggers and is stopped by applying pressure to the touch pad triggers. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) method of timing competition; (2) method of cup stacking; and (3) system for cup stacking competition.
